Karen is co-founder and creative director at Edit_ Brand Studio, a brand consultancy and design studio recently formed in early 2017. Karen is an award-winning designer with 14 years experience working at two of the top creative agencies in the UK. After graduating from the University of Central Lancashire in 2004 as a D&AD New Blood winner, Karen began her career at The Chase before joining True North six years later. Over the past few years Karen has worked on a wide variety of branding projects for clients including Marks and Spencer, British Council, Sport England, National Portrait Gallery, Science Museum, Wellcome Collection and National Trust. Aswell as being lucky enough to be included in the D&AD annual for the past three years, Karen’s work has been recognised by many of the major national and international design awards including Design Week, Creative Review, New York Festivals and DBA.
Beyond designing, Karen is a keen writer, contributing articles and opinion pieces to blogs and magazines including Computer Arts, Design Week and The Guardian's cultural blog. Karen continues to support design in education, regularly setting student briefs and participating in talks for universities, colleges and schools through the Inspiring The Future initiative.
